Most rescuers should be prepared to drive to collect gliders. I am still worried though taht any abandoned glider should go to experienced glider homes that can help them rather than newbies who will have the same problems as the original owners. Also it seems this idea of collecting money for rescues has been done both by the ISGA the GSGC and the glider rescue by Dottie (Out of love rescue). Couldnt a joint effort be made with all groups currently with this idea? Have you contacted the ISGA?
I know a lot of questions but ones about the gliders that need to be known if they are to be safe.
: I've been thinking about a possible way to raise funds for SOSG, and decided that a t-shirt might possibly be the way to go . Since I have absolutely no idea how to go about something of this nature, I was wondering if possibly anyone who has taken on such an endeavor before could help me out with it? Any pearls of wisdom would be appreciated . Thanks!
