Are you giving him any dairy products? Cheese and things can cause constipation. I think the prune juice is a good idea. Citrus fruit will also loosen the bowels, or grapes (quarter and peel them and they eat them more). I would be careful about going too far the other direction...any of these without moderation could cause diaherra.
