I recently installed a timer for the light in the room my gliderīs cage is because here in Germany the days become very short in the winter and get longer during summer (donīt know how to describe this properly in English).
Because they come from an equatorial country, I figured this change between seasons could cause them avoidable stress. So now the light turns on at about 6am and turns out around 6pm.
Now Iīm wondering: Do they maybe need the twilight during dawn or dusk?
Anyone out there who also uses "timed light"?
(I know they need a certain amount of daylight to process vitamin D but I take them out for about an hour during daytime to play.)
