: My Sugar Glider doesn't come out of his box unless there is no one around. When someone tries to take him out he bites. Is there anyway to relieve the tension he has? What should I do to keep him from biting?

When I got my glider, she was the same way. I wore two shirts and took the biting long enough to put her in between the two shirts and wore her as long as I could. I also took a rag and pinned it to the inside of my shirt and wore it all day and put it in her cage so she would know my scent. I also gave her treats when I wore her. She bit me for about a week and then she would just crab and after about two weeks she didn't do anything. Now we are best friends. She sleeps in my hand with great contentment and loves to play with both me and my husband. Just be patient and talk to them the whole time so they know your voice also. It is worth the effort.
