You wouldn't believe how many times even the people with best intentions are chastized for informing others of their choices in food. it always ends up into a full blown fight where someone gets their feelings hurt, whether it is the newbies, or the veterns.. We have lost many a good vetern, simply by a fairly new owner, telling them they don't know what they are talking about, and their knowledge being challanged, call it ego, or pride. But I for one know how easy it is to stand up, throw up the arms, and swear we would allow the newbies to do it on their own and learn the hard way. Attitudes are something that NEEDS to be present, to show how strongly some of us feel about certain issues., however, yto challange a long time standing vetern, who has walked the ropes and repaired them to, is just downright disrespectful. It is sad, that simply looking into the heart, isn't good enough for all. For this, and I know many of them still read and are not replying... I for one misses you..Your years of knowledge, you undying research, and your passion for the species.....
: As far as your question Mike, I feed my version of leadbeaters, (A healthy Choice) it is a modified form of the Taronga Zoo diet, with research additives.. I have AE gliders so I do feed other things, many other things as well, but I can't say what they are for fear that someone would take the items and slap them into their cage and consider it a meal. Their meals are balanced, my gliders are happy, healthy, and very much bonded.
It's too bad you feel that way about letting people know
the diet you feed your gliders. I have just recently got my
first two gilders and am struggling with what to feed them.
I am using the modified leadbeaters from your website (which
they both love) but I am still struggleing with what
fruits/veg to feed. I have searched the internet for
answers but most of it is very vague or just bad advice
so I'm going by trial and error and hopeing for the best.
