: hello,
: i have a little question. i have the chance to get a baby
: rat (well young adult) and most likely a female. is there anyone
: who knows how my glider is likley to react to a rat. i have
: had him for over a year now, and need to know how touchy he
: might get over percieved competition. how would i introduce
: them? should i even be introducing them? you see if the whole
: thing becomes to much of a hassle then i'll just skip the rat.
: they make cool pets, but my glider has so won me over ;)
: nanna beta.

I'm hoping that I can have both gliders and rats. I'm going
to get my first glider(s) in a week or so and I have six
rats and two mice (and no uncaged preditory animals). I'm
assuming that as long as all the animals are in separate
cages everything will be fine. If it let all the animals out
the gliders or the rats would probably kill the mice, the rats
would probably kill the gliders and the rats would mate with
each other. That would be no fun :)
