When I first cut E's nails, she couldn't hold on to things either. Be sure you just cut the very tiniest little bit off, though, so that they CAN keep climbing. I have to trim her nails about once every 5 days, but it's worth not having her be helpless. Also, M's Onyx's trick has worked well for me too. She sits very still while I trim her nails, because she knows she going to get a treat right afterward.

: Good Job! Watch your glider real close for a couple of days now, until it gets its sharp tips back. Your gliser wont realize that it can't stick to the walls/drapes/etc. and will fall off. I don't know if your not suppose to cut the grooming claws, I always have, I'd be afraid that they would keep on growing until they curled in on themselves. Good question though I'm curious to know if anyone else has heard this. ted-
