Subject: Holiday Considerations

I was talking with a friend (Betsy) last night, cause I ran into a "red light feeling" I was asking about the tinsel on the tree. We use an artificial tree and last year The tinsel really wasn't an issue, as Baybe and Smokey wasn't into the tree or the tinsel, just the beads on the angel, however; this year we have the twins, which, seem to love everything. I was concerned as to the tinsel and them swallowing it, that kinda lead me into a lot of different issues with the holidays. so I can up with a list of a few things that we need to watch or take care of here.

1. The Tinsel (they may swallow, choke or accidentilly get it wrapped around their necks).
2. Glass tree ornaments (we all know they get knocked or fall off sometimes, but if the tiny pieces of glass get into their paws it may prove to be a real problem).
3. The lights on the tree. (some gliders have a tendancy to chew electric wires, and it is harder to keep track of where they are).
4. Home made ornaments (we have some of the small styrofoam balls the kids made into snowmen, to hang on the tree., old noodle creations etc..)
5. The early gifts (we used to place them under the tree but the twins loved the trimmings and the paper just couldn't hold up to their excitement)
6. The mistletoe (for that we had to be really clever since they love to climb on the doorways).
7. The candles (we used to burn Christmas candles but the fear of getting burnt has us worried).
these are just a few of the things We here at the house have to watch or change. Just somethings to keep in mind.
