: My latest concerns:

: 1. is about the nocturnal nature of the SG.
: Some people state that they let the SG's roam in the bedroom while they (the owners) are sleeping. Does this make for a good nite's rest?

I for one don't advocate leaving your glider roam freely in the room without supervision, this is only my opinion and I know there are some wonderful people who do , do it. They do play at night but they are up and down, they will play a little and rest a little etc. the problem is when they run free you never know where they are going to rest, mabe under your blankets, hence the chance of being rolled over on, They may get hung up on something or get hurt, chew an electrical cord etc. If you have to get up in the middle of the night lets say, to go to the bathroom, they may be on the floor and accidently get stepped on or let out of the room.

: 2. My live in Boyfriend goes to bed at 9:30pm and gets up at 5:00 am. I'm usually in bed by 11pm. 2What kind of changes have you guys made with regards to the night time rituals?

This will make for some interesting response, many of us that have gliders have made some pretty drastic changes. My gliders don't wake till sometimes 1 or 2 in the morning, I stay up till they are all ready to play, for 2 hours I sit up with them. We all have had to glider proof our homes, and we find we worry about things that at one time we took for granted. My living room has been set up as a glider play room with ropes on the walls, and knick knack stands with no knick knacks on it, flower pots with no flowers and plenty of wide open spaces, our curtains have been changed for practicallity rather than beauty, they are made from the heavyier cotton (like what goes into a den) Trinkets and knick knacks are in another room and nothing is on my stands that can get broken if knocked over, we have a wodent wheel on top of a bookcase. and the pictures on the wall has had to be hung even more securly than before. Any trip to a store always has the babies in mind. Always looking for another toy. or something that the Babies can play with or in.

: 3.Would it be a nuisance to have the SG cage in our bedroom? (Barking, etc.?)

before i wouldn't know, but I have had my gliders in the bedroom since the move waiting on a new cage to get built, the barking at first was cute, but at 3 and 4 in the am when you have to get up at 6 is enough to drive anyone to want to move the cage. Lately my males have been barking much much more than ever. I can't wait to get their atriary built so they can go back into the main room.

: Your help and advice is appreciated.
