Like Bourbon, I don't take mine out to anything late in the evening. I do, however, take her with me to graduate school, and I took her with me daily when I taught school. If you don't want to wear the two shirts, I sewed some pockets that snap shut (I think now a zipper would be best) that have a tab that snaps around my bra strap. Unless you are looking for her, you wouldn't see her. The only time she has been a problem was once when I put her in my backpack instead of keeping her on me. She got upset that I wasn't with her, and leaped from my backpack to me during class. When I taught, she was very calm and slept through everything. It's very workable.
