: This is something that I have not seen addressed before. I have more than one alpha male and alpha female gliders. Any time that I get my hands near their cages while they still have the scent of another glider on them they try to attack me through the cage. Well tonight a glider that I am bonded with began to make this war cry. It sounds deeper, slower, and quieter than the crabbing noise that they make. Evidently I had not washed my hands well enough between gliders because while I was trying to feed this one glider he began to make this sound, the "war cry" and as I was removing my hand he jumped onto it, smelled the other male glider, and bit down hard and dug in. I had to scrape him off of my hand with the cage and I was bleeding in five different places. Five minutes later he wanted to play. Uh uh...I have two males and two different females that will issue this war cry. Be warned that if you ever hear that sound you keep your fingers out of reach.

Thank you for the warning. I just purchased my male and want to add a couple females to begin breeding in the future. You sound very knowledgeable, can we become pen pals and exchange ideas and tips?
