You can't find out who has the gliders to help them many times, but as another option would be to print up som info sheets for the petshops that sell them, to educate the new owners before the purchase, I have been working with a petshop here to educate the employees and i gave them my number and web page address as well as other web address to find info on the net. the store personell now tell they prospective buyers what to expect and the prospective owners do call me sometimes first sometimes after the purchase. But at least they know they have a place to turn locally for help. I also on the care sheet put a copy of leadbeaters diet, caging requirements socialization as well as the downsides to owning a glider. Whether the new owner reads it or not is what is important, as many people know sometimes the cute face and what they can become sometimes clouds the real facts in peoples mind. If you can't reach the people first, at least we can try to reach them through their petshops.
