Hi! I also have a spoiled AE glider. She wants everything I eat...and she usually gets a nibble or two. May I suggest that you really think about giving those things infrequently as treats instead of the standard fare? I've heard that one of the most common problems with gliders is from malnutrition. They can even be overweight and still be malnourished. Gliders need a certain balance of vitamins and about 75% veggies, 25% lean protein. Leadbeater's is popular. I feed Eos Nutriglider (mixed with applesauce) which you can buy on the Net if it's not in your area.
It is kind of humorous to see them try to get what you are eating. Once I was at a salad bar, and I was wearing a button down shirt. I looked down in time to see two little hands snatching a carrot from the plate! LOL Thank goodness noone else saw! :)
Best of luck! There's lots of great diet info on this board...

: Hi! I am new on the net and was reading some of the ideas you have for what to feed your gliders. My husband and I have a glider named Cherry and she eats what we eat. Anything from cheese potaoes to biscuits and jelly to nuts fruits and vegetables. Oh yeah she also loves pizza. We find it quite amuzing that when he gets home at night she comes out of her cage to share whatever he is eating. She did bark every night until we started leaving a night lamp on for her and now she doesn't bark anymore. We have har her since March of 98. She is full grown and very playful and tame. Anyone with any comments please respond.
