: I took the wodent wheel apart and put the base through the bars on the top of the cage and then attached the wheel part on the inside, Then I secured it with a tie on the top. This worked really well for me. It also made it really easy to take the wheel off the bar and clean it.
: So the base part is on top of the cage on the outside and hangs in the cage with the wheel on it,hope this helps,and I hope I have not confused you more!
