Not to worry Jo, I gave them an incredibley small piece - just enough so they had a treat. As for taking them out. They are quite content to stay in my unzipped fanny pack, but when I'm out of the home it stays zipped, just so I have a piece of mind. But then I'm adjusting to them as they are adjusting to me and every little movement is felt. I'm purposely taking them out places in the pouch not because I want "my widdle babies with me", but because I believe that socializing them to all different sounds and smells will benefit them and make them less afraid. I have 2 dogs, 3 hamsters and 3 kids - these little sweeties are adjusting quite nicely to life at my "zoo". Last night the hubby and I let them loose in our bedroom while we watched t.v. in bed. They had a ball. Catching them was interesting. My hubby isn't as confident at it as me and he got one but let it slip through his fingers where it jumped directly on my face! We were laughing and grabbing and chasing, they were leaping and flying and running. I could have sworn I hear Toolah saying "nah nah nah nah nah".

: To scary for me yet. Better check on giving your gliders cheese. I thought I read somewhere that milk based products are not good for them because the are lactose intollerant.

: : Took my babies to Pizza Hut, of course the hubby rolls his eyes and says "you didn't bring them did you?!" I rub my tummy pack protectively as I frown at him....When the pizza was served they arose from a deep sleep and started squirming. I gave them both a little piece of cheese. It was tooooo cute to watch them, side by side, holding this cheese in their hands and chewing with big open mouth chews, while staring up at me from the fanny pack. Then the one started to fall asleep mid chew and slowly fell over onto the others shoulder - still continueing to chew. Maybe tomorrow we'll do McDonalds!
