i just learned the hard way about making sure their cage door is shut.....i had an escapey when i tried to feed them tonight.....so i left the door partially latched so i could fit her back in without the other one getting out...well i got her in a different way, and forgot about the main door still basically being open....that was about 2 hrs ago...well i went to bed, then about 10 mins after that i heard something russling some papers on the floor, at first i was thinking a spider (my place is infested with them) but realized it would have to be one hell of a big spider.....so i looked over the bed, and in the dim light i made out a tail of a sugar glider....i almost freaked....i turned on the light and went to their cage to see if the other one was still there and how they couldv'e gotten out,,,,that's when i noticed the door half open...(kicking myself in the butt) well the first one was a snake....she bit and clawed til i got her into the cage......then i had to check where the other one got too......she was in the other bedroom (i use it for storage so it was really cluttered) well got her back to the cage to, but she supprized me and didn't bite at all, and only clawed to get out of my hands...well needless to say they are both safe and no major incidents,,, but i am double checking their cage from now on to make sure none of the doors and the nest are closed before i leave them alone again......i hope someone out there reads this and they learn from my mistakes....it doesn't matter how well the cage it built, all it takes is a little absent mindedness for a glider to escape and get into trouble....have a fine glider day.
