: I have a pair of gliders that are pregnant. hey both stay in pouch all the time (mom and dad) is this normal? They only come out to eat.
I only have one pair similar to this but they do come out for a treat most of the time and a little socialization, although there are times that she will not come out of her nest box even then. She will stick her head out only, grasp the treat if you bring it close enough for her to do so and back into the box she goes. This is usually only her behavior when her babies are about ready to come oop though and she is so uncomfortable getting around. She gets huge!! Should be carrying a sign saying wide load!! I think that it really depends on the temperment of the animal and how many litters they may have had and how comfortable they are with us. As long as she appears healthy and she is eating well and drinking well and her stools are normal, I wouldn't be overly concerned.
