: I have a female glider, her name is Puddin Head(Puddin for short)she is about a year old the vet thinks. I am thinking about getting her a friend, I just don't know if I should get her a male or female friend. Keep in mind that I don't want babies. I was also wondering if I should get a baby or an adult. By the way what other toys do they like. She has a hamster wheel, which she doesn't use, some ladders, branches, and a few jumbo coffee mugs(she likes to sleep in them).

Hi Teresa,
Mine had a hamster wheel he used for a while, then outgrew it. Being that yours is full grown you may need to go with a GuineaPig/Hedgehog size wheel; Although SG parents seem to prefer to a Whodent Wheel, as it's a safer alternative to the standard exercise wheel.
If you dont want babies, a neutered male is probably your best bet; but another female might work. I think it will depend on Puddin's temperment (ie is she territorial or aggressive, if so she may not appreciate another female on her turf)
The age of Puddin's Pal is up to you. A baby may not be able to defend itself, and will probably require a lot of your attention. A Juvenile glider might be easier to introduce.

LOL and Best wishes
