Leia, Your baby is probably nervous. They get used to their enviroment and the scents around them. I have two and as a general rule they really don't like strangers very well. My female was like that alot and I would lay my hand on her and she would settle down. Now the more she gets used to other people she doesn't do it as often But I have had her now about 8 months. The best thing to do is let her know you will protect her by just laying your hand on her back and telling her it is okay. My Baybe is now becoming a big ham liking when others pet her more and more, there are some scents that she still isn't so sure of yet.. and then she shivers..you will probably notice that she is tightening all her body muscles up at that time too..Of course she is smelling during this they are new scents, but the shivering is coming from her not feeling secure with the outside enviroment or person that is new.
