OK, I am planning on going shopping tomorrow. Gotta get these babies some different fruits/veggies since they R being so picky! I'm seriously considering taking Jazz & Zoey w/me. They ride in my pocket all day anyway so they R used to me moving around with them. I am going to put them in their zippered bonding pouch so if they awaken they can't get loose. Gonna put a slice of apple in with them in case they get hungry/thirsty & I'm only gonna be gone a couple of hrs..... This will be the first time I've taken them anywhere & I think I've covered everything but I know many of you may have experiences/cautions to share,...maybe something I haven't thought of,.... input wud be appreciated. Thanks!

Mine go everywhere that I am! Nobody has even known. I even took them to work with me for a while there.

Around here no one cares. In 2 years I have been thrown out of 1 restaurant and that was only because someone recognized me and yelled over how are they? The waitress freaked out and she didn't even see them with me. I prolly could have lie and said they were home but whats the point. We had already sat there 20 mins with no freaking service LOL

Same here Sadiejo1. I don't suggest it but we take ours a lot of places, we eat at a Chinese food restaurant that the ladies love them. When we go to Cracker Barrel to shop ( my son and daughter work there), the cashiers all run to her and ask for them. They are quite popular. But, I would never say yes, it's okay to take them anywhere. I'm sure many places would kick us out if they knew. We've been lucky.

I put my gliders in a small (zippered)purse with some type of vent(s) when I go to the grocery store but I have someone come w/ me so they can run to the car w/ them just in case but they have never made noise in the day time in my pouch , they LOVE the smell the DELI!!! LOL No one will ever know!!!!

I take mine everywhere in their bonding pouch! when they ask what's in bag, I tell themthe same thing. Some people think I'm being rude because I won't take them out of their cozy lil pouch to meet some stranger an competely scare them. Some people don't understand anything about gliders.

I take mine everywhere UNLESS it is too hot or too cold. Then they stay at home where its comfortable. I had people wonder what they are but i dont show them off. I tell them to go google sugar glider pictures.

That's true! I know they won't get loose from their zippered pouch but it's 100 degrees here so it's not like I can tuck them into a baggy sweatshirt. Unless I tuck the pouch into my purse I'm not gonna be able to hide the pouch too successfully. ~ ~ And it's not like they really need the bonding time. They've only been off my person during the day for about 3 hr. when I went in search of vines & such for their new cage,...that was ONCE & I've had them for 2 1/2 wks. so the bonding is going EXCELLENT! Maybe I'll tuck them into a cage pouch & let them sleep IN THEIR CAGE (GASP!!! LOL!) while I venture out in this oppressive heat for them.... Heck, they probably won't even know I'm gone!!! Haha! (And yeah, with all the $$$ I spend at WalMart, it wud really P*#@ me off if they tried to make me leave cuz of my babies! Prob. best to avoid the situation)
