I know they can eat different types of nuts. But I'm wondering which ones are best and if you have seen your suggies have a preference to ones? And which ones, you should stay away from?

So basically every day nuts, readily available at a market, good. However how often do people see unsalted sunflower seeds? lol

Pecans sound safe:

Scroll about halfway down to Fats and Sweets.

[Edit]: safe, but fattening.

What about pecans? We have TONS here.

Thank you that is exactly what i thought I just wasn't sure if there was anything else. My local exotic pet store has a perfect mix but it's cheaper to go and get the unsalted nuts myself and make a little treat for the girls instead.

UNSALTED: peanuts, pinenuts, almonds, walnuts, pistachios sunflower seeds...

Those are all the ones I've tried and my babies LOVE them! I take a walnut and semi-crack the shell for them then let them work at getting the meat out of the shell...they have a blast!
