Thank you Wendi, I always love hearing what you have to say and always try to respect everyone's opinions myself. I am one to say, as long as you aren't hurting anyone, then I am fine with your beliefs, even if I do not agree with them myself! I am pretty niave when it comes to a lot of things, and I thank you for the heads up about spin websites! |

PS: PETA stands for "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals". I am ALL for this!! But...like I said, I think something went horribly wrong somewhere! The general idea is a great one. |

I don't know what to say about PETA really. Which is why I say i'm on the fence. I don't know enough about them to have an opinion. I think that their original idea is probably a good one! I mean, it's hard to argue that wanting to save animals and wanting to be their voice is a bad thing. But I think somewhere, something went wrong. I've heard both good and bad about the organization. Which again is why I said I'm on the fence. But, that article is just so ridiculous. She's not being a very good example now is she!! |

I am moderate with most of my views like this, even though I am a very liberal person. Filly47, be careful with websites like that. I'm just giving you a warning, because I recently saw an interview with a highly paid Spin Doctor who's job it is to generate websites like that...he's just an evil guy who'll spin downright lies for megabucks! I'm not saying this is the case here, and I definitely have a lot of respect for your views and ideas. You're an inspiration! I'm just saying, I would try to find out who's behind that website before I'd believe anything they have to say. Take it from an old pessimist who's seen and heard a lot of B.S. in her lifetime! :-D |

That's very sad. Priorities and compassion are lost when your all strung out. Hopefully those pups will find good homes. As for Peta, I don't agree with them at all, I've seen to many things and read to many articles that prove to me their hearts are not in the right place. One clip I saw was of one of the head people saying drugs shouldn't be used on animals before humans (which I agree with) and that any drug that was tested on animals should not be taken even if it saves lives..(which is fine for her to have that opinion) but she takes insulin for diabetes. Insulin was tested on animals. When asked about it she said that she HAS to take it though because if she didn't she would die and who would continue to help the animals??..lol..I kinda lost all respect after that. |

I am all for animal welfare. I love my animals with every fiber of my being, but I am not an animal rights activist or an animal liberator. I do not agree with some of PETA's views that a dog should be killed before kept as a slave (aka a pet), and have been known to rescue a dog from a home and immediately euthanize it in the driveway, and then dump the bodies in a dumpster. Here is a website one of my friends showed me, because I actually didn't mind PETA until I found out the difference between animal rights and animal welfare. Error, missing URL.

I agree. She's just pitiful window dressing, with nothing going on in the head or heart. From the article, sounds like she's got a drug issue, too. My son has a drug issue, but he's got a lot going on in the heart...if it hadn't been for him noticing a sad suggie while in a "party" house, Hercules would have never been rescued. This girl's soul is lost right now. |

Is PETA against people eating meat? |
