My dads neck has been swelling and it was making it hard for him to breath at night. so he went to a hospital and they said a timer was growing on his neck. So he went into surgery and they removed it. Well they aren't sure what it is so they are sending him to oklahoma city hospital to have it/him tested. They don't think it's cancer but are not 100% possotive. So prayers are really needed right now. He runs a non prophit soup kitchen and has 5 kids and a newborn grandbaby. (just a FYI) |

It's lymphoma. It's easyly treatable. They are using four different types of chemotherapy on him, one being the red devil and another being doxyruben. Those two are some of the harshest chemotherapy treatments around. The other two aren't as bed... |

You are all in our prayers and thoughts. I honestly hope that it isn't anything serious! God Bless. |

Sorry it took so long to update but here's what happened, so my dad came home and we shaved his head (pics soon to come) and he was doing fine well a week before he was supposed to go do a second set of chemotherapy his throat started to swell up. So he went to okc and the gave him steroids and after a week his white blood cells were high enough to go home (he came home Friday) and so Monday or Tuesday he's going back to do chemotherapy and my siblings and I are goin to my aunts uncles cousins grandma and grandpas house (they live in Tulsa) and my parents will meet us there when they get done. I thank u for your thoughts and prayers. |

Well my dad is going to get started on cheemo once every three weeks for about a month or so. It was in his left side of the neck and was moveing to the right side. He probably wont be home for thanksgiving and we probably wont get to go down to see him cause of "rules and regulations". He and my mom havent been getting much sleep cause to breating mation that helps him breath at night is not working properly and the respatory therapist is a real know-it-alltype of person that is a real hag toards my mom and dad. They called her after it stopped working (like she said to do) and she said okaaaaay, well, what do you want me to do about it??? SHES TO ONE THAT SAID TO CALL HER IF IT STOPS WORKING!!!!! so my mom stayed up all night to make sure my dad was constently breathing. She said she refuses to work with that therapist anymore, she was just down right rude to my parents. Im sorry this is sooooo long! thank you guys for all of your thoughts and prayers. =) Kiki |

I am sorry that it is cancer. But it is good news that it is easily treatable. I agree with Kyro - it is good that your dad is so positive. That does wonders for the whole process. Keep your chin up too and lean on us. |

I understand why she called you first, but that had to be a horrible day at school for you! I will keep your family in my thoughts. |

He'll be going through a rough time. I'll pray for him to come out the other side healthy and strong. And in the meantime, keep your spirits up. We're here for you. |

I am so sorry to hear that you found out that it was cancer. Also so glad it is treatable. It will be quite a road for him. From what I have heard most people feel real sick from the chemo, but hopefully it will be totally worth it for him. |
