Hey everybody! What do you feed your baby? I've heard that pellets are good, but at the same time I've heard that pellets are bad and ruin the babies fur. If you use pellets, what kind of pellets do you use and what else do you feed your baby? If you don't use pellets, what do you use?
Also, how do you give your baby water? Do you use a bowl, or do you hook one of the hamster water drop thingies to the side of the cage?
~Thank you so much (:

I feed my gliders the HPW diet along with fresh/frozen fruits and veggies. I also give my gliders these little round flat pellets. I cant think of the brand off the top of my head. My gliders love them. I also give them little treats as well.

I'll put a link below to The Sweet Spot (glider medical forum) - the Glider Gourmet section. There is a great article on the importance of diet and also articles on several of the more widely accepted glider diets. You can take a look and see which works best for you and your gliders. I personally feed Val's Green Variety Diet and love it.

While you are at TSS, take a look around. It's a medical forum and the place you can go to when/if something comes up to see if others have had the same issue and what was done (worked, didn't work, etc). It's just a good forum to be familiar with.

Enjoy!!

I feed my gliders the HPW diet with fruits and veggies. I give them water in one of those small sipper water bottles that they sell for hamsters. They don't drink a whole lot of water, so they don't need a large bottle. If you are trying to decide on a diet other than pellets you can look under diet in the gliderpedia. There a bunch of different diet options to choose from...you can pick something that will suit you and your gliders. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I don't use pellets for my little one's, I give them fresh fruits and frozen veggies that have either been thawed or steamed, and I give them a pate that has sweet potato, chicken & chicken gravy baby food, and honey. As for the water bottle I use the water silo normally used for birds cause I heard the one's meant for hamster they can get the tongues caught in the ball and get hurt. The Gliderpedia has a lot of info on what diets are good for your little suggies and all sorts of info.
