I've changed a couple of things. First, I've rebranded the Gliderpedia with the same orange header found on the rest of the site. Originally, I was hoping that the Gliderpedia could stand on it's own and not be limited by this site. That never happened.

Anyone have any thoughts or comments against this?

Secondly, I've changed the landing page from "Contents" to "Gliderpedia". Contents was supposed to be sort of a "Table of Contents", but it didn't really seem to work out that way. So, I've changed the landing page to Gliderpedia. Hopefully this makes sense as a starting page. Again, comments to the contrary?

Thirdly, I've redesigned the landing page with a column layout. I tried yellow but decided I liked the blue. As an aside, the Gliderpedia was intentionally done with a blue theme to differentiate it from the rest of the site because the Gliderpedia content is licensed under a creative common's license, whereas the rest of the site is not. I had hoped that this theme difference would subliminally indicate that that part of the site is different. Back to the landing page, I've done a column layout, and something is missing. I'd like some input on organizational ideas.

Specifically, there are some articles in the gliderpedia that aren't so easy to find as they're not linked directly from the main Sugar Glider article. What does everyone think about a reorganization of articles into two broad categories, one category would have articles about sugar gliders in the wild, with things such as native habitat, the trees they live in, that sort of thing. Essentially information that a grade school student might want to use if doing a report on the animal. The other broad category would be husbandry articles, and these would be things dealing with things like laws, cage cleaning, illnesses, and anything someone may need to know that's keeping them as a pet. The whole idea is to make finding information easier. If someone needs to know about a particular illness, I don't see any sense in having them wade through information about gliders living in Australia and PNG. Does that make any sense? I'd definitely like some feedback on this as well as suggestions on which articles would go where.

OH, one thing I will add is that I put up your site for people on my bird site to check out, when you first come to the homepage there is no where to sign up as a new member. So, a couple of people sent me a pm asking if you took new members, I told them where to go, but they thought it was not an option to join as they were only focusing on the main information in front of them.

Since I am new, I just wanted to add that your site look great to me, easy to navigate and find information. It is very creative and user friendly.

I like the new look very much - and having 2 separate categories is a good idea. Eric reminded me over a year ago about the license when I submitted an article that I wasnt totally mine. (I had the other two authors permission - honest!)

Maybe put the Gliderpedia search box in a more noticible place or make it larger?

I like the blue! I think its a good idea for the 2 categories too. Someone could just look up the basics and then you could have the other for the more advanced owner.

I really like how that looks...much better. As far as the articles go, I really like the idea of having the 2 separate categories. Maybe the most common issues should be placed as articles..or topics that are more urgent? I honestly didn't even realize the Gliderpedia was supposed to be a separate entity either.
