So I added my Bonding article to the gliderpedia, but it seems hidden. I'm not even sure how people will find it other than I linked two words in the Sugar Glider page. How can I make it more accessible?

Wow, just found the index. Duh. Never mind. Apparently I am just suuuuper slow. It's easy.

I don't know anything about computers or Wikis. =] But it'd be cool if we could put an index or something in the main page so people could browse from there. It's most helpful for new people and I'm concerned that new people won't know how to navigate it the way it is.
*Not complaining though, just trying to make it better. =]

Open to suggestions on how to find articles. Perhaps I can make some better linkage throughout? Perhaps I can link to more articles on the front page? Wikis are odd like that. How do you make it obvious to search for stuff? How do we get the content to find the user?

Kyro, if you search for it you can find it. Along with a few other interesting articles like "Most common questions asked by new owners". But I wish those things were more visible. People might not know it's there at all.

Can you type in the title of the document in the search and find it that way?

Oh, and Kazko. What I mean is I'm not even sure how to get to the Bonding page in the gliderpedia if I were just a regular member. Other than the two words I linked, I can't find where it put the page. Did that make more sense? I'm having trouble explaining.

I think he means you just edit the page, then go to the word you want to hotlink. Highlight the word, click the link button and enter the page you want to link it to.

Terry - how do we "hotlink" a word or phrase??? Layman's terms please!! You know Im old!

Please expand on this question so I understand you right. From what I see, you are one of the few who actually understand the wiki format. You linked to the new article in an existing document which is wonderful. The only other thing to do is maybe add it to the menu document which I created in an attempt to help people navigate.

I too think that wikis could use some unknown magic to help find stuff. I've been pondering about autolinking hot-words in the forum to the wiki. Feel free to do that on your own when discussing things. You can easily add a link or hotlink a word.
