just had golf ball size hail hit our town(missouri). the trees were moving and bending like crazy. we have leaves and grass stuck to our house. the sky was all dark. the hail was hitting the house really hard. i grabbed the gliders and ran to the basement we found out that a town around us got baseball sized hail so we got lucky. it just happened really fast. one minute i was in the SGAA forum chat room chatting the next min i was grabbing the gliders out of their cage and running to the basement while the hail was pounding on the windows. it had been icky the past week or so anyways so the dark rainy sky didnt bother me so i was just messing around on the computer.it was scary since the last time this happened the tornado just barely missed us we could see that it had a chance of forming right by us. http://www.cnn.com/2012/04/28/us/missouri-tent-collapse/i... then a bit after all that settled down a tornado siren went off interrupting me typing this >.< so i grabbed the glider's pouch again and was about to go down stairs when dad told me it was in another county so we were ok.
everything is ok now. i just went out and checked the ducks(they are free range and we live in a neighborhood)and they are ok. i knew they would be but just had to see for myself that they were ok and not across the street. there is a big tree branch in the lake and one huge tree branch leaning over into the lake but couldnt see where it broke at.
sorry if its a bit scattered or doesnt flow well i typed most of it while i was pretty shaken up. but writing it out helps me feel better. :)

doug, have you looked at how many members were on the SGAA forum ?...honestly that cant be the reason for making this one slow...
and im sure if it were someone like you to post this thread ... everyone would jump and say "omg are you okay" .. not that thats a bad thing at all ... but a person is a person.
and im on SGAA, not because i like it better, not because i like the info its because its another forum... more people more opinions. I will still post here if i have questions and i will still read posts and if i have something to add ill do so.
IM glad shadow is okay ... and well if no one else does because of some personal reason then maybe just dont post. leave it alone. |

i usually like to listen to the storms but this one was really bad. the thunder was super loud that it kinda made me jump a bit when it happened. it even woke up my dad who also couldnt fall back to sleep for a bit and he loves to listen to storms as well.
i hope if it hits anywhere else that everyone stays safe.  |

i love GG and always will. if i didnt i wouldnt be on here. this forum is the reason i have learned so much about gliders and i dont know what i would have done without it. GG will always be my glider home and yes i am working on SGAA but that doesnt mean anything im also a member on all the other forums. i needed something to keep myself busy with so this is what im doing and i shouldnt have to ok it with anyone. i dont know how you know what i say unless you're guilty of cyberstalking or have someone stalking me in my own chat room or something.

what are you all talking about? how would i be able to recruit others away from GG? GG is a huge old forum full of info. if your talking about SGAA its a tiny forum that was started a few weeks ago. most of our people come from the SG FB page that we are admins on. other people come here and post their glider sites and thats fine with everyone. SGAA is more about socializing and having fun and of course we have info there for our members that come from FB. its khigh's forum i just help out with planning games and stuff. i have time on my hands(not as much as i did but i do have free time and im having fun and doing something that so far seems to make others happy). the only people i can think of that i "recruited" would be my close friends and nobody has a say in what goes on between me and my friends. and if you look at SGAA it isnt like super busy either but its a new forum so it will take time. i have never ever said anything bad about Glider Gossip ever! its my first glider home and always will be.
thank you for having to bring this up on a thread that i was talking about being afraid for my life and my pets life. i barely got any sleep last night since the bad thunderstorm woke me up at 3am and we had a chance of getting hail again. so i laid there wondering if i would have to jump out of bed and somehow grab the gliders and put them in their bonding pouch and run to the basement. |

thanks for the kind words. i probably wont be getting any sleep tonight. dad just told me there may be some severe storms tonight/very early morning and to be ready. i hope it passes over us quickly. :( |
