Hi last night I was feeding my sugar gliders and my one boy Norby was going to the bathroom an I saw a red stringy thing coming out of his anus so assoming he ate a string or something and it was just stuck i tried pulling it out very gently and when i did it looked like the red stringy thing was part of one of his organs.I dont know what im doing wrong and im very concerned considering Im new to the world of sugar gliders and i just got my two boy sugar gliders about two weeks ago. If you think its an effect of improper diet which could be a factor I willl gladly tell you the diet i feed them so Pleeeease help me im very concerned.

As Lyndia said, don't be embarassed about anything here.

Don't be embarrassed...that is much better than some feed.

Thank you guys so much for the replies i will have pictures up on the forum of my two gliders they are both brothers their names are Dag and Norby. As for the diet I feed them I am going to start feeding them Ruths modified leadbeater with some extra fresh veggies and fruits, I am quite embarassed about the diet I was feeding them because it only consisted of boiled egg, apples, banana, and carrots with some mealworms dipped in calcium powder for a nightly snack.
Thanks so much for all the help
Mike

I agree. It was his 'man-hood'. What diet are you feeding him? I know it's not that but lets just find out what we can? Is he a lone glider? And Welcome! We are going to need a picture of Norby.

Its his genitalia. There amazingly long and pink as well as forked like a snakes tongue. My boy flosses with his. Yes flosses! When he grooms he pulls it all out and cleans it. When they get closer to sexual maturity they floss alot! Lol.

No hon....that's his little boy parts. Long, red & forked at the end? If so, it's his "man-hood."
