So its been a while since I've posted since I no longer have my girls. I would like to get another pair once I have graduated high-school so I do have a bit of time since I'll be a freshman this coming year. With this said, I'm a bit of a newbie since its been a while. I wanted to do some note taking and such because next year I'll be able to get a job and I plan on doing some money saving. I know it seems very silly to start doing this now when I've got what, 4 years but I like to plan and prepare so bear with me. I looked in the gliderpedia and saw some additions to the diet section and got a little lost so I'm going to ask what diets you all side with, use , etc. Along with any tips or links.
Thanks for reading,
Faith.

I prefer the LGRS. It's balanced, and easy. Easier than the other diets I tried. And, it's the only thing my very first glider would eat. So I just stuck with it.

Well like I said I plan to wait till I graduate I just wanna get back out there, refresh my memory and stuff while I save some money. Money was a reason I had to rehome my girls. I wanna have a pretty good chunk saved before I get another pair.

Everyone here will have their own opinion on diet. There are alot to choose from and I doubt anyone will tell you "this is the best", as they all have different pro's and con's.

But for anyone just starting out, I recommend the HPW Complete. Reason? You just can't mess it up :-) You simply add water to the powdered staple and that part is done. No supplements to get wrong or ratio's to figure out. It's harder to mess it up enough to be unhealthy as compared to the other diets. (IMO)

Also, with this diet, although it comes with a very easy to make veggie/fruit mix you can make and freeze; you can use pretty much any fruit and veggie you want to serve with it. This gives you the opportunity to get familiar with the ratio food list.

I'd say, use the HPW Complete for a bit and get familiar with the food charts, how they eat, and what the like and don't like etc. Once your more comfortable making your own choices based on the things you've learned in the mean time, then you can decide what's best for you and your suggies.

Something to consider. No matter what you feed, they aren't cheap pets. Or shall I say, I manage to spend more on my 5 tiny little suggies in a month than I do on my 280 lb dog.

I'd say have your work/school/social life "figured out", as they have their schedule, and get to the point that your finances allow you to set aside 100$ a month as extra.
