If you dont know i had two gliders and my female has twins in the pouch.I also got three more gliders and the female out of that also has one in the pouch.I'm in the hole bonding stage and they have a vet pointment on the 6th so after that is it safe to let them meet my other two?I'm hopeing to have them all in one cage in a few months if i can,i will be getting the other two males ziggy and meeko fixed, Mickey is already fixed.Any advice would be great on this cause if i cant add them together thats fine i will keep them in there cages like i have them now.thank you

I am gonna wait til the joeys are ready to leave before i even start to let them meet my other two.I know how stress things can get for a frst time mom cause this is gidget frist litter and minnie 2nd.i Have a big cage its like 4 feet wide in five feet tall but im not wanting to have them together for a least awhile cause both mommy's are only in there first month so i still like alot of time do bond with tese 3 yet and im gonna leave them in there own cages.thanks everyone for the info and help.also im not gonna keep the baby's i will be finding homes for them asap but i want to make sure they are here safe first.

I personally wouldn't. As already mentioned, females can pull other females' joeys. They want their line to be the successful line and others may threaten that.

I'd wait til you have everything settled as far as, are you keeping the joeys, selling them, ect. before I did intros.

If you are selling the joeys it would be better to wait until they've gone as trying to introduce a total of 8 gliders (inc joeys) is VERY hard, especially to sell the 3 little ones in a few weeks.

First time parenting can be very stressful, it doesn't take much for things to go wrong i'm afraid. Introductions will be stressful, the mothers will be protective of joeys, or they may cast them aside so that they too can 'hold their own' against other gliders. Quite often during intro's gliders will have a little scuffle to sort out the ranking, you don't want a mother with a joey having to go thru this, it probably wouldn't end up good.

Agree with dooney. Moms may get attack the other moms joeys. Not worth the chance. It wouldn't hurt to all the intros and stuff till they are older and all the boys are healed and recover from their vet visit.

I agree. I would wait until the joeys look like they could hold their own.

Are you gona be keeping the joeys? You should be able to add them together eventually, giving that they take to eachother, but whilst joeys are in pouch or weaning it isn't advised to add new members to the groups. Other females can get jealous, hense why trio's don't always work. The two males will fight if put together before neutered.

Keep them seperate for now, wait until the joeys are about 8wk OOP, or even until you sell them if that's what you're going to do, and then introduce them together. What size cage will you be having for these 5? Overcrowding will be an issue with introducing, you'll need to make sure it's plenty big enough for the 5 :)
