I can just picture the booty dance!

What Renee means by "terrible twos" is that human children at the age of 2 throw A LOT of temper tantrums. They just are little monsters at that age. So what she's saying is that it's a phase your glider kids are going through. Maybe they are teething? Idk much about the biology of gliders but if you think about it, it may make sense?

Do you keep a journal on here? I do. That way, I can see the progression of their behavior.

I guess the main thing is, don't try to force a relationship. Just let it happen on its own. They know who feeds them, who pets on them, who spends time with them, talking to them, cooing sweet little nothings into their ear. They know!

I tell you what, my Catwoman was a little spitfire when I got her but I have the feeling that her former owner tried to force her to be friends with her. Every time she saw me come forward, she would VIOLENTLY crab at me. But as she got used to the idea that I was not going to come for her, as I IGNORED her, she was like, wtf? Why aren't you paying attention to me, and then she started to seek ME out. (How about that, huh?)

But here's my Sweetheart now:

(And between you and me, I used to think she was the Devil! )

I wish you could have been with us during tent time last night. My baby girl was sitting on my shoulder, and I got to nuzzle her face with my cheek. And yes, she bit me on the middle finger last night, but not hard. Just a little nibble. It STILL hurts today, even though she didn't draw blood. But they bite each other all the time. It's like a handshake to them. "Hey, how are you doing?"

they don't bite in fear anymore and i do feed them meal worms maybe a couple a day....THEY LOVE THEM:). and i don't think there trying to hurt me cause they do it all over ear neck shorts shirt everything i fuss its just been 2 months since I've had them and it doesn't seem to be getting better :( i got them when they were babies bout 8-10 weeks oop

You know they also bite each other to show affection?

BUT, I would wait on tent time. I think you're taking it a little fast. If they are biting you with intent to hurt you, they may be feeling threatened by you, or they may feel territorial. Idk for sure though because I am not there watching them intereact with you?

So, why not back up a pace and just use a zippered bonding pouch and carry them around during the day and see how they are doing. Do they crab and lunge at you from the pouch? Keep doing this until they like being on you.

From the cage, give them treats. If you give them meal worms you may wish to try using some plastic tongs (they can be found in the reptile section of any pet store, or so I am told). Get them used to taking food from you. While they are eating, see if they will let you pet them. Get them to associate your hand with good things, like treats and pettings. But be quick to retreat because sometimes the moment a treat is gone, they will bite! (Both retreat as in 'withdraw your hand' AND retreat as in 'give another treat' will do. )

Take it slow. You have a good 10 years to bond with your pets. No need to do it all in one day. Or week. Or month. Enjoy the now.

I think my babies would have bitten the CRAP out of me if I tried doing tent time with them at 2 months. But every glider IS different and sometimes you do get lucky and they bond immediately. Most times, though, you have to earn it.

How old are they? I'm just throwing this out there - if they are in the 5-6 month range they could be going thru the terrible twos (doesn't last long).
On another note, my male used to do the exact same thing - they were a year old when I got them and it did take 3 months before the nipping stopped. He got me everywhere lol - ankles, thigh, elbows - just random.
Try and hang in there either way:)
