My baby, Joey, is becoming more and more curious about his surroundings as he bonds closer with us. Tonight was the first night he actually escaped my sight!
While Kacey and Rizzo, my normal escape artists, had me occupied at the cage door, Joey took off....waddling.
Now he is not overweight by any means, weighing in just under four ounces at his last vet visit, but he is my least active glider. If it doesn't involve food, he is not going very fast, even while escaping. I wanted to for laughing as he waddled away from us, and he was the easiest glider I've ever caught.
Needless to say, he is back in his cage, safe, and I'm sporting a new battle wound on my finger.
(honestly, I think he was upset at is running out of meal worms)

I had one escape without realizing it. I discovered the escape because I heard crabbing in the other room. I went to check it out and saw 2 kittens chasing a glider across the kitchen floor. I then saw a glider turn around, raise her arm, crab and chase 2 kittens the opposite way! I was glad it wasn't my adult cat because I may be less 1 glider. I must say that was the funniest thing I have ever seen!

XD just the image of a glider waddling along cracked me up. At least he was an easy catch.
