Hello guys! I'm new to this page and this is my first post. :)

Anyway, I got a male sugar glider 6 months ago. He's intact and really energetic. I've quite bonded with him already since he does not crab at me anymore and is already comfortable with my presence. Well obviously, he's already mature and ready to mate. He's around 10 months old right now.

Last week, I bought another female sugar glider. She's still very shy and scared of me, however I'm trying my best to bond with her right now. She's 5 months old and really small compared to Shoogy (my male). Glyda (my female) is 2x smaller than Shoogy.

I plan on breeding at least two joeys before neutering my male. However, I'm scared as to introducing them together for now since my female is still very small and young compared to my male. I don't plan on letting them live together and breed until Glyda is around 1 yr. old.

My question is, is my plan feasible? Will it cause any problems if I try to let them live together earlier? Any advice would do. :)

This is what I found. It says anywhere from 7 months to a year. Some even take up to 14 months.

Thank you! That's what I plan to do. BTW, what's the earliest age can a female sugar glider start to safely breed? :)

I would advise you to wait until she has grown enough to be able to defend herself. The male may try to breed her before she is ready and cause her to have mating wounds which can lead to self mutilation.
Maybe you could do some introductions, but I would wait for her to grow before moving her in completely.
