Hello guys! I'm new to this page and this is my first post. :) Anyway, I got a male sugar glider 6 months ago. He's intact and really energetic. I've quite bonded with him already since he does not crab at me anymore and is already comfortable with my presence. Well obviously, he's already mature and ready to mate. He's around 10 months old right now. Last week, I bought another female sugar glider. She's still very shy and scared of me, however I'm trying my best to bond with her right now. She's 5 months old and really small compared to Shoogy (my male). Glyda (my female) is 2x smaller than Shoogy. I plan on breeding at least two joeys before neutering my male. However, I'm scared as to introducing them together for now since my female is still very small and young compared to my male. I don't plan on letting them live together and breed until Glyda is around 1 yr. old. My question is, is my plan feasible? Will it cause any problems if I try to let them live together earlier? Any advice would do. :) |
