So I posted before about introducing a pair to my previously owned male. So ive been doing all the scent swapping and wearing them together and such. my question is more around the new pair. So they are brother and sister but the male is older hes a year and shes about 6 months so she is really sweet will take treats from my hand lets me put my hand in the bonding pouch with her doesn't crab except for when he is EXTREMELY crabbing shell join in barely. The male Ozzie is very crabby skittish you talk near the cage he crabs hes just super nervous of everything wont take his eyes off me wont even take treats i try and give him till im long gone and when in the bonding Pouch its literally crab crab crab crab. SO I know hes gunna need a little more working with my question is because Echo is so calm should i do intros with her and Morty (my single guy) and if it goes well cage them together and keep Ozzie alone while I work with him? or is it a bad idea to split them? I just know literally all three of them are at a different place of what they are ready and comfortable with and so Im having trouble figuring out to do what when cause I think Echo would be ready to meet Morty in the next week or two where Ozzie I think is going to need more time.

I think if both males are neutered then you can put them all together.
If you keep them apart then you can have more alone bonding time, but if you put
them together you can have all 3 in glider safe room/tent for bonding time all at one time.

So its basically what you think will work best for you, In My Opinion.

I agree with what NyxandBenny said, except I think scent swapping and then intros. I say this because the gliders will get to know each other's scents first making the introductions smoother.

I had a male, Finn, and a female, Quinn, I wanted to introduce. I've done it between cages before, but Finn would try to attack her through the cage.
After scent swapping i tried an introduction. He didn't attack her. All he did was the normal dominance behavior.

Then again yours may instantly get along and you might not need scent swapping. It does happen.

So yeah if you do want to begin intros try the cage idea NyxandBenny#8203; said and the move from there. Be sure to trim their nails before putting them together. :)

From what I've heard from a Canadian breeder when I asked this question was.
Step 1. 30 day min quarenteen after vet check and deworming/deparasiting(she recommended not bothering with a smear test as they are often inconclusive)
2. Introduction before scent swapping. The reason she gave for this was to get a better idea of how they wIll react to each other. They may do fine. They may crab. They may chase each other and nip but that as I'm told is normal dominance behaviour. Lastly if they do ball up and attack that is where you need to be quick to separate and make sure no damage was done. If they draw blood than you need to get him/her to vet for stiched or ointments and an ecollar possibly.
3. Now because you know they are dominant the risk may not be worth trying again but before you try again you would do scent swapping.
Also try putting cages side by side but if they show hostility move them further apart till they seem more comfortable.
Hope this helps and anyone wanting to add or disreguard anything I've said is welcome to as I too am learning and there's alot of opinions out there.

Just to make sure I understand. Ozzy is the male living with Echo the female and they are a bonded pair. Echo is making great progress while Ozzy isn't. So you want to separate them, put Echo with Morty, and work on just Ozzy.

If I followed that correctly, I personally don't think it's a good idea. It'll cause unneeded stress for Ozzy and Echo and possibly Morty. There is nothing wrong with leaving Echo in the cage while you work on Ozzy. They are a bonded pair and might get depressed if separated.

You could still try introducing Morty to Echo and seeing how well that goes.

This is just what I think. I'm no expert especially with gliders I've never met. They are your gliders and you know them best. Do what you think is best. :) Whatever you decide on doing, I hope it works out
