HI!
Okay, so I have been looking for bigger cages for my two sugar gliders, and I found this big flight cage. It is significantly bigger than their current cage, which is a sad little "31 L by 20 D by 35 H ferret cage. :( It's called the "A and E Cage Co. Extra Large Flight Bird Cage". As I've been looking, I have noticed that there are two that come up, this cage is noticeably bigger. Long story short, it's dimensions are " 40 x "30 x 72", though the inside height is 62 inches. The cheapest place I could find it was jet.com, so if you type that name in there then hopefully you'll find it. Sorry, I have no idea how to link it . I am pretty sure that this cage is mentioned somewhere in the products section of this forum, too. So, my question is does anybody have this cage? Is it a good cage? It looks like it has one of those bottoms where the floor is wire and the tray is underneath, does the wire hurt their feet? What do you think?

also, if i get a cage from craigslist, how would i wash it? Just take it outside with a big bucket of water and dish soap and just hose it off? Thanks again :)

Yes, I believe so. I've read before that they're made by the same company, just re-branded for PetSmart I believe, or one of those pet stores.
I'm pretty sure I've read where people have combined them both to create larger cage space.

Thanks a ton! I think that I'm going to try to get whatever the all living things cage is called ( i have no idea what it is called XD) since it's cheaper than an actual double critter nation. ( they're basically the same thing, right?) My only question is, does the All Living things cage have an add on piece? If it doesn't, could I use the critter nation add on piece? it would stink if i spent all that money on the cage and add on and the add on didn't even fit on the cage ! XD |

yeh congo's good too i always forget that one  all living things is pretty much the same as a double critter nation just a different brand name ;) it's a nice cage too you can find them at petsmart and they are usually a lil cheaper than Dcn's |

I agree with that also. HQ also makes a larger cage than the Brisbane and Madagascar, although I've had both of those, the Brisbane currently. They also have the Congo, I've had a cage very similar to the Congo that is also made by HQ, called the Lrg. Sturdy (from Suncoast Gliders).
I recommend continuing to shop around, and figure which would work best for you. Both HQ and CN (and All Living Things) cages are very good quality and all have pros and cons I guess, depending on your preferences. |

flight cages are generally made with cheaper lighter wire, which means the cages are noisier and won't last as long, they rust quicker and may not hold up to some glider safe wheels long term.
For that kind of money I think you'd be better off with a higher quality cage like brisbane, critter nation, madagascar. These 3 are heavy duty cages each have pro's and cons as well tho, but for long term use these will hold up for quite a bit longer than a flight cage will. |

Thanks! I'll definitely keep what you said in mind :) The thing is, I have been looking into the Midwest critter nation/ add on piece and I was wondering where you could buy them? It seems like there are at least like 10 add on pieces under that name XD |

The cage I see is listed at 40x30x72 and is a big cage at $325.
the listing says bar spacing is 1/2 inch, that is good.
the tray looks nice. it is a nice size for several gliders.
I don't like that some bars are up and down, this makes it harder for the gliders
to hold on. And the entry doors are small, and I THINK there are lots of small doors that need to tied down tight.
I'm thinking this cage is acceptable. BUT I would recommend the cage I use
Midwest critter nation/ petsmart all things living.
At $220 (on sale now) and an add on piece $116 is $336 dollars.
the base cage is 36x25x48in inside area. with add on its 36x25x72 inside area.
the base tray has to be rigged up under the cage, but you have all horizontal bars and BIG front doors for total access to gliders and cleaning.
If you only have 2 gliders and they get out of cage enough, then the base cage is plenty big enough. |

Yes, just set it up and put them in. It's recommended to place some items that already has their scent, so use some stuff from their current cage prior to washing.

Thanks! the bar spacing is 1/2 inch, so that part is good :) , I've found it on wayfair, jet.com, amazon, and the A&C cage company website. OH, and heres something i feel i could've been more specific about: the dimensions are 40 inches Long, 30 inches wide, and 72 inches tall. Of course, you don't have to look it up if you don't want to. :) Oh, and here is something I forgot to ask, how would you change a sugar glider's cage? Like is it as simple as just setting up the cage and putting them in there? Anything you are supposed to do to reduce stress or something? |

When I googled that name, I couldn't find the size you mentioned measurements for. I do not know what the bar spacing is, but it's important that it doesn't exceed 1/2" spacing. |
