do they have a big cage?
is the room dark? .....actually the darker the better, I have only a tiny night
light in my glider room.
do they have a quality running wheel? raptor, atticworx? something for them
to do when they leave the pouch.
do they bite? if no, I would take the pouch out in a glider safe area, talk
to them, and try to put my hand in with them, don't need to pet or move you hand
around, just let them sleep with you unmoving hand.
do you have a scented fleece piece in the sleeping pouch.
Are they rehomes or are they babies? babies may take awhile, let them have
time to get used to all the new home, NEW SMELLS, NEW ATMOSPHERE.
Our gliders are up at about 8-9 pm, eat, then by 11pm most go back to sleeping
pouch for awhile, take a nap or gloom, some stay out. at 7:30am they are out, most of the time ALL 6, and running around cage like crazy, by 9am they are sleeping for the day.
Repeat, you need to give them TIME.
there natural state.....everything smaller then them is food, everything bigger
then them is predator. YOU are bigger.
Let them smell your scent, talk to them, feed them a treat.
Connor came to us scared and alone, (he is still a super big pouch crabber)
I would feed him a treat, every night try to get him more out of sleeping pouch,
closer to my hand, later give him a pet, later still get him to step on my hand
for the treat, all a long slow process. you can use a bonding pouch during day, let them sleep with your scent against your chest, that will speed it up...they will crab, probably.
