Hi! I got my two suggies last Christmas, and they're doing very well. I spend a lot of time with them and they have a stable diet, I've never had any problems with them.

The problem is, If I do have problems, I want to be ready. I'm only 13 and I don't have a job, and we're not sure that my family would be able to pay for vet care on short notice. I'm hoping to get a job soon so that I can save up and have something to tap into should something go wrong, but until then I'd like to ask if there are other precautions I could take?

for me one thing comes to mind.

we went to very nice vet hospital, paid $100 ( I think for each glider to have
a checkup after we got them.) They tried to cut nails but couldn't do it, and
they seems only somewhat experienced.

we later went to a small older vet hospital, paid $40 to have 4 gliders checked
and $40 for a fecal test. a father and son vet both with glider experience and
they seemed to know a lot.

so the smaller less fancy place was better experienced and cheaper.

so maybe check around the area.

we have an emergency 24 hour vet 2 miles away, but they have NO glider experience
