I'm going to pick up my first pair of gliders. They are a year old and I have to travel by ferry for a day to get them. They are coming with their large cage which is going to take up basically all the space in my car. It is going to take about 9 hours (7 of which is on the ferry, 2 which is driving) from the time I get them to the time I'm home and I have a question about travel cages.

I have a medium sized bird cage that would be perfect for them to travel in but I am extremely worried that it will not fit in my car once their large cage is inside. I have another birdcage that is one of those terrible round ones that no bird should ever stay in. However, I know it will fit in my car with their cage too. My question is, is it okay to have them in this not so great cage for the 9 hours? I feel terrible about it, especially since it will be nighttime but I'm at a loss.

Thanks in advance!

if during day time they would just sleep. night time they will be awake.
but if you give them some food and nice treats, I think ONE DAY will be fine.
Just keep them under 100% LOCKDOWN, do NOT give them a chance to get out by
openning cage, just feed threw bars.
gliders, specially if scared, can be FAST and HARD to handle. so keep
them locked up 100% until in your house.
