I have no experience with this but am replying since you aren't getting any. I will try and add some common sense to help you get you the correct answer. I would expect the vet performing the operation to know what to do in this case since they must be experienced with sugar gliders if doing the surgery. I would call the vet you are thinking about performing the operation and ask if there is anything you need to purchase or prepare in advance. If they say don't worry about it the visit comes with everything needed or tells you what to buy ahead of time and to prepare and isolation cage you are good to go (not saying you need an isolation cage I have no clue). If they don't have a clue I would find a new vet because they have no experience with sugar gliders and shouldn't be performing the work. |
