Hi, I am planning to adopt another joey soon but I am slightly confused with the term 8 weeks of minimum age. Is it 8 weeks OOP or IP? Plus does anyone know how to make a glider accept new diet? I wanted to change mine to OHWP but he’s only eating like eating lil bites (4-6 poops per day), so I’m kinda stuck with giving him two diet options right now

@BYK_Chainsaw @GandKaidos I’m very sorry that it took me this long to reply:’ I didn’t know how to see the replies to my post and only learned that there were replies today.

I got my gliders 10 weeks OOP just to be on the safe side on the meantime and eventually got him to eat OHWP. I realized that he didn’t like his fruit mix combined with the veg and wambaroo mix.

Thank you so much for replying to my questions:))

I also believe it is 8 weeks OOP.

when we got new gliders, we would start feeding them OHPW with fruits and veggies. one of the salads from critterlove.com. at first they would only eat wombaroo, and not eat any fruits/veggies. after a week or so they would find corn very tasty. then I would see peas eaten. then weeks later I noticed most of the fruits and
veggies eaten up.
the last 3 I got seemed to take 2 months to fully eat everything, none starved or died. they were all very skinny when I got them. they go nice and plump once they started eating it all.

I would just make sure they are eating the wombaroo. maybe HOURS after putting food in the cage, offer a few fatty treats. Live mealworms. give them time to
adjust and try the new diet.

I believe it's 8 weeks OOP!

as for diet changes.... s l o w and steady wins the race. I've never met pickier eaters than my gliders. I finally got one that will eat the parts of a cucumber the other doesn't like!!!
