Not in most people's opinions. It seems that most of the info on their site is based on their own opinions as well...not scientific backing.

Not really. They have some great information but not all of it is accurate, such as the BML thing they have on there.

I do not believe their cage size recommendations should be THAT big, but hey if a newbie sees that and thinks that all gliders need 9 foot cages that's actually better than the ones that are sold at flea markets with them that are 2 foot... so I guess it's not all bad.

Yeah it did seem very opinion based to me but I'm a newbie and don't really know which sites are good and which really aren't. So all I can do is ask! Thanks

I don't like that site. The poll on the side has like 3,000 votes which I suspect is their own opinion. LOL. Also, all the "facts" they give you have no reasoning behind it, just that its "old" and "bad" (BML)

I visited the site a few days ago, just happend to come across it, and I am a newbie as well,,,, I did alot of research myself before I got Moggies and spoke with some on here about care and feeding...One thing I did notice on there was a list of breeders they listed that they wanted to ban... and then later on another page they recommended...lolol before I had seen the page I had actually spoken to one that was on the list that seemed to be very helpful. The person who wrote the article seemed angry to me for some reason, and I dissagreed with much of what they were saying. I was shocked however to learn that some breeders pull the joeys off the nipple before its time for their own benefit....There was some interesting things and other things just didnt seem acurate...In referance to one of the breeders they wanted to ban was the glider connection, and I am wondering if anyone knows anything about THE GLIDER CONNECTION?

I'd start a new post about the glider connection, I'll be easier to get a response on that subject.

Heres my Miss Teen America North Carolina answer:

quote:
"I personally believe that US Americans and breeders and some people out there in our nation are unable to do so because, some uhhh, they remove the baby joey far too soon from its parents and that in doing so makes the baby joey much less prepared for its new life living alone in a tiny one foot by one foot flea market cage with its new impatient owner. And that we as Americans who believe in education like such as in South Africa and Asia, must teach the homeless heathen people of Iraq and Africa and how to raise sugar gliders in that, or, uh, to build up our nation and to help such as, and I personally believe that Smurfs are not able to breed sugar gliders effectively because they do not have maps and are simply greedy and that we as good wholesome Americans should help them and teach them the ways of the only true savior."
