I love those last 2 pic's with the gliders all in the leaves & with the toys. I will run out of places to try an find good tattoo spots. I think Momma is with joey again, now making the count up to 5 or 6 joeys since I got them. AN that last pic would so much cover my "FAMILY COLONEY" for just one whole protrait tattoo.

I never DID post this imge I created on the behest of Kazko! Figured I`d post it just for fun now. Was originally intended to be a possible idea for a t-shirt design? Was done back in April. =)

Mandy those ALL are so beautiful. I have seen your post's at GC but my computer is sooo slow at home I tend not to look at that many pics. And this is the 1st time I have came to GG from the work computer. And all your pictures have just blown me away. I have heard alot of other people bragging on your art. But these are absolutely gorgeous! I especially like how you giveall your gliders different shape heads. Ok so I'm weird like that. But it gives them all so much more character, since every glider is different in real life anyway. Absolutely stunning!!!

I really love the pic's that you have had posted prior to this post. But with the news that I've had to come to believe, my Momma is with joey AGAIN!!!!! An I thought that I was ahead of this son / mother mate thing. Never listen to the other half when it comes to breeding.

An I never wanted this to happen, but I this my Jo-Jo Girl is with joey to. So to what Iwas trying to get to was....

The print that I first wanted done, I may have to change up to that piece where the coloney is intergrated in the leaves. Either way, tatoo ofjust the single glider or the whole coloney. I will be getting the tatoo done hope fully within the next few weeks.

But really, if you need to start a hand/wrist brace fund. I'm more than willing to support it. So you can share all those wonderful pics with us.

Okay, I found an old dial up number and so - will be able to log in a little more today than initially expected! Oh thank-heveans! I can`t imagine my life without internet, and this - on a day off! LOL On the plus side, my lack of internet early this morning, gave me time to finish two projects - these are not commissions. Just something I`ve wanted to try for a while, but haven`t had time to experiement with.

The following images are two in the same series. I used black art paper and white charcoal/conte to create the effect. It`s like working in reverse. Rather than shade the darker areas (as I would with pencil) I`m actually shading the lighter areas, and letting the black paper fill in the dark. =) These were alot of fun to create. I hope you like.

You're amazing, Mandy! Love the whole night look. That's what I do with my night series paintings. I start on black masonite and work my way out. It gives a whole different look.

The next project I do will be in black charcoal. Should be interesting. Just wait - I`m hoping to stretch some canvas and break out the acrylics again some time soon. Gotta have time for that sort of venture though! LOL

Well you can't tell that you aren't used to doing your work on black paper, cause girl that it is one awesome work of art..

Okay, not I`m sure if any of you here are familiar with Val (Jackie_Chans_Mom) over on Glider Central, but she had a rescue that she was trying to save by the name of Bruce Lee. His story is really really sad (theres a link posted to it somehwere here on the forum) and it truly touched me, how much she`d cared for that little guy.

SO...

Long story short, I made a memorial drawing for Val at no charge, to help her deal with the difficult loss. I posted the image for her to review tonight and she was happy with it! Not only that, but she agreed to let me post it on my portfolio as long as she could post the image on Glider Ccentral herself - when she was ready to share it. I will post the image here once I see Val has put it up at GC. Just giving you all some background. For those who do not wish to wait, you CAN view the image on my online portfolio. I believe there is a link in my profile that you can use to see.

(The text to the right was a poem/song she wanted included which reads: Longer than there have been fishes in the ocean, Higher than any bird ever flew, Longer than there have been stars up in the heavens, I`ll be in love with you)

Awww that poem/story/picture together made me tear up! Also those reverse done images are AMAZING. I'm impressed that you can switch from shading to highlighting so easily! Brilliant work as always!
