What is a tent? I read it is good to use when spending time with your sugar glider. I have read up on their diet. I read you should give them 50% protein 25% fruit and 25% veggies. I am not sure how much to give them. I mean 50% of what? a cup? I just dont want to over or under feed her.I would appreciate any help

Basically just make sure that of the food you offer 50% of it is protein. As for how much to feed, all I did was put alot of food in there and if they didn't eat it all put less the next night until you get to a point where only a little is left. Make sure to leave a dry food in there 24/7 incase they get hungry during the day.

A tent is just like the ones you go camping with. You can find a good sized one at Wal-Mart for about 15$ in the camping supplies and hunting section.

SUNFLOWER:

Usually its 50% protein, 25% vegetables and 25% fruit. A good serving size would be 2 tablesspoons of protein, and 1 tablespoon of vegatables and 1 tablespoon of fruit. This is per glider. If she eats everything the first night, give her a little more the 2nd night.

Tent time is play time...a small tent 6x5 is what I have set up in my computer room...in it is lots of hanging toys..rings, fleece ropes and swings..on floor is other toys....the idea is tent time is for playing and bonding. you take you gliders (you need to have at least 2) in for a min. or 30 mins to a few hours....bring treats to hand feed such as mealies (mine like live medium size or yogies...they learn to trust you and that you give them treats...Rita already answered the food question so you are good to go there. Come into the live chat room and ppl there will answer questions anytime..it's a fun place to make new friends...

Thanks. I have got a tent. I got to get her some toys set up in it. I cant wait to try it out. she is still young and kind of shy. she lets me pet her but she makes that crabby noise if I try to pick her up.

If you keep playing with her, she'll probably stop crabbing after a while. My boy just RECENTLY stopped crabbing all together (what an exciting day!). He still definitely doesn't like to be picked up, but he doesn't crab at me if I do.
