Well I have two suggies Finster and Mystic and I just got Mystic three days ago. I am going to the vet to get a Feecal and welleness exam, but I was curious to how long they should stay in seperate cages if they seem to be doing okay during tent time??? I think Finster may also be a little stressed out because he will not seem to come to me and jump on me as much, and seems alot more afraid all the time is this normal? He seems to be eating fine, but is also waking up later than normal? Also when it says a breeder is USDA liscened is that a good thing or a bad thing? Sorry for all the questions. -Brittany

So, you've already put them together before the exam and fecal test?

no they are in seperate cages now the breeder I got her from helped me introduce the two and they only crabbed at eachother a few times. I have the fecal and exam scheduled for Thursday. Is that too long. I just did not want to put them together until I'm sure she doesnt have parasites or something like that

I meant put them together as in, they've had contact? The reason for keeping them separate altogether until after a quarantine period and the vet exam is in case she is bringing something in with her that he can contract.

you asked how long till you could put them together since they get ALONG during tent time.....they are having contact during tent time (touching areas that other touches) Hopefuly you new baby does NOT have any health issues...sometimes they have and show no symtoms which is why you need to have a check up..be sure they do a fecal...since they have been together during tent time I would say after you get ok from vet it would be ok....many here will say wait abit to make sure unknown symtoms don't show up...just watch them...Finster is just scared..he is not use to another glider it will take time. What is advised is when you get a new glider..YOU leave them alone for several days so they adjust...since you just got him and have already done tent time you didn't do that.

I suggest that you go into glider gossip and read all the posts...you like many many ppl did not do research prior....read everything you can and go into the chat room to ask any live questions...most times there are some very experienced glider owners in there that can really help. Good luck...

Since they have already been in contact with each other, it would be advisable to take both in for Wellness Exams and Fecals.

Thats what we did. Once we got the 2 new fur butts, we decided to just take all 4 of them in for Wellness and Fecal. It never hurts.
