The only time I've ever washed one of the gliders is when I first got Usha and she didn't know how to clean herself. I'd take a warm damp rag and clean her up while she was sleeping on me and kept her next to me until she dried. The poor thing had baby food all over he face.

Cubby Love I really enjoyed the posts too. A few people seemed to get a bit defensive on the subject, but I respect where they are coming from. There is nothing wrong with using a deodorizer or decreasing the smell a bit(atleast in my opinion). Obviously, if you just can't stand the smell and it is awful, maybe a suggie is not for you if it bothers you really really bad, but just because someone wants to decrease the smell a bit does not make them a bad owner.

I didn't mean to come off like that or for those reading my post to think I was angry or upset b/c I am not. I just feel that if you know they have a smell and you don't know if you can handle the smell than maybe you should reconsider instead of thinking of ways to remove the smell (like baths knowing suggies don't like it and can be harmful to them). Anyways. :)~ I know we use deodorant and body wash and perfumes etc to reduce our smell but using all of these products have actually been known to cause cancer, interfere with the reproduction process (preventing pregnancy and causing miscarriages), causing prostate cancer etc. We use these products at our own risk knowing that they could or could not effect us. Just thought I would say that, not in an angry way but a factual way. Like you said, there's no way I could go without deodorant!!! :).

You also have to understand that you cannot eliminate their scent. You may be able to cover it up some or minimize it the best you can but it doesn't go away and shouldn't.
