I'm wanting to do the BML diet for my boys, but alas I can't find any Gerber baby food!
I've looked in four of the main supermarkets over here...BUT the only jar of baby food I can find, is Heinz Banana. (I seriously do not know what Thai babies eat!!!)

I cannot find Wheat Germ either....

Actually, I'm still amazed that I managed to find the only guy in Thailand selling Herptivite (and he only had one left), unfortunately he was out of Rep-Cal but told me Reptivite was a good alternative.....(I don't know how much vitamins cost in the states but the two of them cost me $40!!!)

Without the baby food and the Wheat Germ, is it pointless me giving them BML or is there something else I can put in it instead. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I make my own chicken.. I boil it (skin off), then puree it in the blender. I use the chicken stock to thin it to the consistancy I like. I would give you my ammounts but hubby and I make it in batches of 9 each time since we are feeding a large group of gliders. I like this as I know how much chicken they are getting but with the baby food they don't tell you how much chicken there really is in a jar or how much water/broth is added. They just tell you how many ounces are in a jar.
I am not sure about the wheat germ.. sorry. I do know that we feed the orphans and rejected joeys brought here the baby BML and it doesn't have the wheat germ and they thrive on it anyway.

Could you buy that one jar of banana baby food and use the jar as a measuring tool? I know BML takes 3 (??) jars of baby food chicken with broth.

Oh, and dont be surprised if your suggie doesnt like the banana. Lots of them dont.

none of mine will eat the BML, I just use the 50/25/25 and a few times a week I add calicium/vitamins into to some juice or necter and they seem to be doing fine. they like HPW and I feed that sometimes

Thanks for the replies...
Actually, I have already done one batch of BML (The Joey one, which was minus the wheat germ) but now I've only got a few cubes left.
They have been eating it, along with their fruit and veggies, but maybe adding the chicken and broth to it will change the taste....I'll have to see.
Good idea Rita, I think I will buy that Heinz jar, it'll be a good way to measure it out..I checked on another website and they said two jars.

I have seen the HPW diet but getting the HPW powder and Bee Pollen will be very difficult.
One more question, my boys are almost 5 months old, when is a good time to introduce the mealworms?

the baby food jar is 2.5 ounces, so for 2 jars you would use 5 ounces of chicken purree. It took us some time to get it just right but the gliders didn't seem to mind, lol. I think it tastes much better with the homemade baby food myself, and it doesn't smell bad when you mix it up either.
Get that boy on some mealies, lol. You can give mealworms to gliders at any age, even small joeys.

I'm going to get some mealworms for them on Sunday...I remember the guy who sold me the Gliders showed me the worms (they were really small, about the same size as maggots) How many should I feed a day? How long will they keep? (I was hoping I could get a months supply at a time!) It's just that it's a weekend market and I only get two Sundays off a month. I am really squeamish about bugs, but I'm kinda excited too, just because you guys have said how much the Sugars will like them.
I hope there aren't too many mistakes in this post...I am on my break at work using my phone.

I can't stand holding the mealies so I use some tweezers to pick them up and my babies know that means and get excited when they see tweezers

I like that idea with the tweezers, I'll definitely be using them!
I just have to remember which ones are for the mealworms and which ones are for my eyebrows

I don't even add the wheat germ anymore because mine just pick it out or leave it behind...
