Just wondering can Sugar Glider eat Fresh Beets, Artichoke Hearts and Butternut Squash? If so has anyone tried these with their babies? Do you give them to them raw or do you cook these things?

Beets will make their poo/pee really red, which will make you think they have medical problems. Honestly, I have never heard of anyone giving their gliders beets or artichokes. Now squash is a different story - they love squash and zuchinni.

maybe a dumb question, but do you cook the squash/zucchini, or do they eat it fresh?

I purchase it frozen. Then nuke it for a few seconds before giving it to them.

Mine won't eat beets, but he loves the greens. Yes to the red poop/pee, but it only lasts a day or so. He likes yellow squash but hates zucchini; nibble at butternut and acorn squash, not favorites but they'll do. Don't know about artichokes -- just try a very small amount and see.

All 8 of my gliders seem to love beets and will polish them off and fuss over them. Some of them like squash. I have never tried artichoke hearts.... None of them like lima beans (no one mentioned lima beans, just thought I'd throw it in) LOL

OH, yes, they all love sweet potatoes too.
