For starters thanks everyone for the warm wishes and congrats, we are very happy to have him here finally! Thank you Angie for posting his stats, sorry I never returned your call, this turned in a bad direction for a few hours. Congrats Eric, looks like you were pretty darn close!!!! I will have to think of some type of prize. lol


Well I have a story and then some....

I will not go into great details but Daniels induction, birth, and recovery was one hell of a day.

Me getting very sick, being on oxygen, every medicine they could to control my blood pressure and pulse, sticking a probe in Daniels head to monitor his heart rate, almost c section....

to Daniel being born and him being rushed to the warmer for his own oxygen and a few other things, all ending in him being a very healthy BIG boy... :o)

THEN, me almost ending up in surgery to recovering with a high fever....

All in all, it was the best day of my life.

We are both well and was released from the hospital ON TIME with a clean bill of health. The nurses made his little santa hat, guess its something they do every year for the Christmas babies.

Jamie, he is beautiful!!!! Im so sorry you both went thru such a horrible night. Thank God everything went ok and both of you are well and at home with your family.

As tiny as you are, Im sure it was a very difficult delivery. I cant believe you didnt have a C-section. OUCH! <<crosses legs in sympathy>>

My youngest son, Jim, was 10lbs. They really dont look like newborns, do they? The other babies in the nursery with him were normal sized and looked like little peanuts.

I am so glad every thing went good for you and your new baby. He is so cute. I miss mine being that little but now my oldest will be 13 next month and my yougest will be 9 in Fed. Enjoy him when he is at this age lol.

Wow - a big and beautiful boy!

Sorry the long night. No fun at all. I had all that - THEN the C-section! And my son was also about 10 pounds.

That is my "baby" who is now 16. His older brother is now 20! The memories of the pains of the night fade quickly-you will only remember the joy! I remember the labor was long, etc. But my only clear memories are of holding him for the first time! I'm sure you know, since he isn't your first!

Again - he is simply BEAUTIFUL! Congratulations to you and your family!

The only problem with having such a big boy - and I know this from having a 10 lb 3 oz monster - is that all those sweet little baby clothes that you got for a newborn? You might as well give 'em all to charity.

A nice healthy baby boy, congrat. U know the best thing about that baby boy?--------------------- He's yours and not mine.no babies here my youngest is almost 19 years old. Grand babies one day but not yet.

WOW. What a big baby. I thought mine was half grown at 7 lbs 14 in and 22.5 inches. Those inches really make them look big compared to all the teeny tiny other ones. One thing about big babies. You do get your excercise.

And I have to agree with Thehyland "he is yours and not mine". My baby boy is a bit older. 26 last month. And no grandbabies yet. Yippie. Im am just not ready to be called granny. UGH it just gives me shivers.

Woah, life is crazy.... everything is a blur.... normal life with the house, kids, gliders, dogs, fish.... yadda... Then you add in a little recovery with my new little super handsome man and the holidays? I think I have lost my mind. lol.

I just wanted to pop on and tell everyone we are doing well and thank you for all the congrats and warm wishes. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and I think things should settle down soon and I will have more time to hang out with you all.
