OK, I have read several posts lately about "fluffy" gliders. I didn't think much of it until the other night when I got had BR play time -- first with Mr Jingles & Izzy and then with Gizmo & Roo.

Well, after play with MJ & I, G & R looked really B-I-G to me. So, tonight I broke out the digital scale and weighed them. Roo weighed in at 122 grams and Gizmo at 146 grams!

I feel just horrible! They both had been at such good weights before but I really had become a bad Mommy -- it must be all of the potato chips and ice cream (oh wait.....that's ME....who is also getting a little "fluffier") -- I mean giving them too many treats and not enough exercise. I felt guilty this spring when I was working a lot at my 2nd job and didn't have much time to let them run and I guess I over indulged them. Then just after that ended, my husband unexpectedly changed shifts so I wasn't able to get them out to run freely in the bedroom in the mornings.

Ok, so both of my chunky monkeys are now getting cut back on treats and will be given MUCH more exercise time! Hmmm.....maybe it wouldn't hurt for Mommy either....

Ya, those suggies sure help get the mommies off our butts to play with them. lol

Even though I know it's not good for them, I'd rather see a chubby suggie than a starving one any day of the week.

A bad Momma? You?!?!? Never! Sorry, GnRM, couldn't happen. Sometimes life runs away from you. You've noticed, and you've got a plan to correct it, and it'll be fine.

At least they are happy and not upset. A little "chubby" isn't that bad. Just don't let it get completely over weight where it takes forever to make them loose it. Plus you noticed before it got tooo bad which is good. My Honey looks a little chubby but she is lazy...lol

You could never be a bad glider mama Karen!

In my colony, I have four little gals with perfect little svelt bodies ... and then ..... there's Dizzy. He's taken "fluffy" to a whole 'nother level. When we do bedroom time, he just hangs with me while the gals run around. You can't force him to run in the wheel or exercise. Maybe I'm a bad mommy because I'm resigned to his fluffiness.

I have two that are at perfect weights and two that are "fluffy". My Benji is like Raven's Dizzy - a whole different level of fluffiness!!! Poor little guy. He is so shy and subservient with the girls. If he is running in the wheel and one of them wants it - he gets out. They arent mean to him, dont get me wrong. In fact, they have loved him from the moment they laid eyes on him. Its just if they look crossed-eyed at him, he gives in to their every wish.

Tilly - 82 grams
Tosca - 130 grams
Weasel - 111 grams
Benji - 156 grams

Um, I mean, I do have a couple of feathered friends and some furry ones too -- but they bite me sometimes and pee and poop on me and you guys don't! Well, at least none of you have yet!

Sorry never weighed mine. Dakota and the kids are all about the same size. Maverick is big. I give the same treats to all of them. I think Dakota even eats more them Maverick. He's not lazy he is in the wheels just as much as the rest of them. So I like to just think he is big boned.
