Many folks use the baby chicken as part of the BML diet. (I use it in my Blended Diet also) The Chicken and Turkey are basically cooked meat with water added to make the puree consistency.
Some Baby foods are OK - but read the labels carefully for added onion or garlic and sometimes in the toddler foods added salt.
I do keep a few baby foods on hand for EMERGENCIES such as a power outage during hurricane season that might prevent using my regular frozen glider diet or frozen fruits & veggies.
I give my gliders the baby fruits once in a while just to keep them used to them (not their favorite - they like hand size pieces) but generally I have them for emergencies only.
I do not think gliders would do well on a babyfood only diet. Most of the meat & vegetable combinations have very little protein in them. I did not use the mixes for my skin kids either. Think of the mixtures as a SOUP - mostly water.
